We Grieve Together - A Virtual Grief Event
We Grieve Together
A Virtual Grief Event
My intention with this offering is to create a space for us to tend to our hearts and be with our grief in community.
I hope you’ll join us.
The Flow:
We will be on Zoom together for 60 minutes. This event will not be recorded.
Agreements and logistics
Opening the space - a poem, meditation, or embodiment practice
Grief Tending - I’ll play music for about 30 minutes. You’ll have space to tend to your grief however you need to.
This could look like: drawing or painting, drinking a warm comforting beverage, laying down on the Earth, dancing or movement, sitting at your altar.
Sacred Witness - you’ll have an opportunity to share and be witnessed in community (this is purely invitational)
Closing the space and after care
Time Zones: This event will be at 8:00 pm ET / 6:00 pm MT / 5:00 pm PT
The Exchange:
This is a free event. That said, my request for the exchange is - where do you have abundance in your life (this could be money, time, food, supplies, or other resources) and how can you share your abundance with your community?
This could look like:
Donating money to people in Gaza - this is a great resource: @fundsforgaza
Donating food to your local food bank
Donating supplies to your local women’s shelter
Donating cash or food to a person in your community experiencing homelessness
Donating your time to a local nature trail clean-up project or community garden
Donating your time to a local retirement community - showing up for our elders
Donating your expertise (offering a free consult, class, or event)
I ask that you do this around the same time as this event. This is our collective offering.
My hope with this exchange framework is to offer another way, outside of the capitalistic model, that encourages us to share our resources and show up in our communities, expanding our capacity for collective care.
